If you have not looked at them before though I would recommend you go through the first two pdf first ( "Basics and Installers Intro" and "Installers Advanced" ). Once you have made the DarNUI Bain, its as easy as pie afterwards, and you learn a lot about making your own installers to boot which is the biggest value of that project. Once activated you will have to choose what options you want to install. OBMM should open up and you will see Darnidifed UI in the box on the right. And the buttons allowing you to switch between quests, the local. Sometimes when I hover over a location the map appears, but it is colorless like it is in Vanilla Oblivion.
Load up the installers Creation pdf and follow it through ( well, the second half of that guide is for DaRNUI, the first part is for UOP ) I even uninstalled and reinstalled Oblivion to start fresh, still, the map appears blank except for the locations.

SMainMenuMusicTrack=special\tes4title.mp3 Darnified UI - a new UI Cyrodiil Terrain Map - nicer map Mida's Spells - a shedload of new spells I think I also have some custom textures, but they're not a mod file. This mod is in OMOD format, so requires Oblivion Mod Manager. This mod continues to evolve, and now features the ability to customize the interface in-game. All other games have the bsa files used by the main *.esm files as essential and greyed out, untouchable by the user. Version 1.3.1 of the DarNified interface overhaul. greyed out, and can therefore be deactivated.
#HOW TO INSTALL DARNIFIED UI OBLIVION ARCHIVE#
To be honest, I have not the faintest idea of how MO's Automatic Archive Invalidation works, but it does strike me as strange the difference in behaviour with Oblivion to the other two games that use it.Īdditionally I have noticed that the Oblivion bsa files are not shown as essential, ie. they are not greyed out as they are with Skyrim or Fallout3/NV. Fallout3/NV which also use this method do not have that flag reset.Ĭuriously I see that MO managed Oblivion for me has all the Bethesda bsa files as standard files in theArchives tab, ie. No manner in which way I set the flag, Automatic Archive Invalidation is always disabled when returning to MO from Oblivion. I think this may actually be a bug with the way MO handles the Oblivion engine. It is always unchecked when I return to MO (I don't close MO while the game is running). Which, itself, is another popular option, I believe. You can combine UIs too, like say, the above with the Immersive UI. as it combines DarkUI and, well, the DarNified UI. I believe the two most popular are DarnifiedUI and BTmod.

I even check it, quit MO, restart MO, check to see the flag is checked (it is) and then run the game. Ive been playing Oblivion with quite a few mods installed however, I have never tried any UI mods. Is the Automatic Archive Invalidation flag supposed to stay checked permanently? I check it, run the game and return to MO to find the flag is un-checked. exactly the same problem with me, and fixed with the work-around.
